Measure energy across several cycles
A brief watt-meter reading can miss both an idle period and a startup event. A longer energy measurement gives a more useful average. Divide measured Wh by the number of hours observed; unusual temperatures or defrost behavior can still change future demand.
Keep running and starting power separate
Lower duty cycle reduces the modeled energy use. It does not reduce the inverter output needed while the compressor runs. Confirm starting watts and the required duration against the power station’s actual surge capability; resistive boost modes do not establish motor compatibility.
Add the other devices sharing the station
A router or lamp increases average demand and also adds to the load when the freezer starts. The full planner assumes the largest single motor starts while the other selected devices are running. Two compressors starting together may need more output than this model predicts.
Use the estimate as a power plan
Runtime estimates do not establish food-storage temperatures or food safety. Monitor the freezer as appropriate and follow applicable food-storage guidance separately. Change your plan’s target time and battery charge to explore a longer outage.
