STAY CONNECTED

Keep your home network powered during an outage.

A small battery can power a modest network load for hours. Keeping your equipment on does not guarantee your provider’s network stays online.

Count every powered box

Your connection may depend on a router, modem, fiber terminal or additional equipment. Add each device that needs local power. Use its measured consumption where possible; a power-adapter rating can be a maximum rather than a typical load.

Small loads still have overhead

The default calculation adds 10W for power-station idle consumption. That is a planning allowance, not a measured specification for every model. It can be a large part of a small network load. Direct DC output may behave differently and needs the correct voltage, polarity and connector.

Backup power is only part of connectivity

A provider outage can interrupt service even while your router remains powered. If uninterrupted operation matters, verify the power station’s transfer behavior and your equipment’s tolerance; this runtime estimate does not certify UPS performance.
